I am an Associate Professor of Public Administration and Policy and Statistics (by courtesy) at the University of Georgia, and a faculty affiliate at the UGA Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

My research asks how technology changes the way we govern ourselves — and whether the result strengthens or weakens democratic institutions. I work at the intersection of AI and democratic governance, historical political economy, and computational and causal inference methods. My work has appeared in the American Political Science Review, the Journal of Democracy, and Public Administration Review, among other venues.
